Leanna Luznar
3s Teacher

Mrs. Luznar has been having tremendous fun leading the Terrific Threes at the Bay Co-Op since 2007. A native of Avon Lake, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (PreK-3) from Ashland University in 2003. In addition, she completed her Reading Endorsement to teach reading to grades K-12. She has worked with children age 3-9 for many years, including her time spent as an Eagle’s Nest attendant from 1998 through 2009. Mrs. Luznar follows in the footsteps of her great-grandmother who taught elementary school in Caribou, Maine. She and her husband, Brad, live in Avon Lake with their three daughters, Ryleigh, Eva and Kaidyn. Ryleigh is currently enrolled in the Bay Co-Op and loves coming to school each day!

Julie Kestler
4s Teacher

Mrs. Kestler has a B.S. in Communication Disorders/Speech Pathology with a minor in Child Psychology from Worcester State College in Massachusetts. She has taught a variety of preschool programs for the City of Bay Village Recreation Department for 12 years and has been the Teacher of the 4's program at Bay Coop for 6 years. Additionally, she has been a substitute teacher for grades K-12 in the Bay Village school system as well as for St. Paul's Lutheran School and St. Raphael's School. She also volunteered for 4 years as a Summer Camp Counselor for a very special camp in Vermont known as Camp Takumta--a camp for children with cancer. However, her best teaching experience and most job satisfaction has come from being the mother of two awesome teenage boys-- Jake who attends Bowling Green State University and Justin who attends Bay High. Finally, Mrs. Kestler's educational philosophy is best described in this statement, "Teaching is one part molding and one part unfolding."
