Week of May 14-16, 2012

We are going a little buggy this week. Our last theme unit will be on insects. We will be learning about their three body parts while singing "Head, thorax, abdomen" to the tune of Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes and will be learning all about the lifecycle of a butterfly. Speaking of transformations, your children have grown and changed so much this year and I have loved watching them spread their wings. It is hard to believe this is our last week of school and my last week at the Coop. I have loved this job and all your kids. It has been a great 8 years.

I will be available for face to face or telephone conferences this week on Wed. from 3:30-4:45. Please sign up outside my room and if you want a telephone conference, please leave the correct number. This is the last official time I will be conferencing, but I am happy to make other arrangements if you send a request by e-mail with some times that work for you.

We have a fun week planned with Miss Jamie for music on Tuesday and an extra long session with Coach Margo on Thursday. Have a great week and if you don't feel like cooking on Wednesday, I have added a coupon under this message for dinner at Chipoltle's to help the Bay senior class fund their senior activities.

Finally I am attaching copies of the money rap, the snowman poem, and the vowel song. The number rhymes are on the website as well as alphabet action. Feel free to use and share any of these, just please be sure to give me credit for all of them except the number rhymes which are not original, just revamped and reworded by me.
